The three-year terms for five members of the ccNSO Council will conclude in March 2026. In September 2025, the Council launched a call for nominations to fill these upcoming vacancies. The only nominee from the African region did not accept their nomination. Council will meet on Thursday, 30 October 2025, during ICANN84: One of the agenda items will be to launch a new call for nominations for the African region seat.
Proposed timeline:
- Call for nominations: 13 November – 4 December 2025
- Nomination acceptance period: 5 – 12 December 2025
- Election period (if applicable): 22 January – 4 February 2026

- NA region: Charles Noir
During a question-and-answer session held on Wednesday, 29 October 2025 | 15:00-16:00 UTC at ICANN84, the ccNSO Membership will have the opportunity to engage with candidates for the upcoming ccNSO Council elections.
