IANA Update – Naela Sarras, IANA

IANA Staff will provide updates on deploying automation software for root zone management, as well as improving documentation of the root zone process. We will also share our experiences from the first few months of managing DNSSEC in the root zone, as well as ongoing work of the IDN ccTLD Fast Track process.

APTLD Update - Jian Zhang, APTLD

In the APTLD update, I will give the update on our last APTLD meeting in Jordan. It will cover the topics we've been discussed during the meeting: IDN; DNSEC and security; Risk management of domain abuse; new GTLD and opportunities; and the training. And last I'm going to talk about the fun we had in Jordan!

CENTR Update - Peter Van Roste, CENTR

In the CENTR update I plan to highlight the 4 topics that we covered at our most recent General Assembly: DNS-CERT, WHOIS, Blocking and Reputational DNS. I will provide a brief overview and pointers for the ccNSO community to learn more about these or contribute to the work we're doing on this. I will zoom in on the blocking issue and summarize the legislative initiatives.

LACTLD Update - Erick Iriarte Ahon, LACTLD

LACTLD will focus on the results of the economic workshop.

IDN TLD .РФ for Russia: a Post-Launch Update - Irina Daniela, .ru

The presentation will focus on the first results of .РФ open registration, including choosing model for open registration, first hours & days statistics, main concerns and lessons learned.

New Rules on Typosquatting under .dk - Lise Fuhr, .dk

A presentation of the Danish rules on typosquatting. Denmark implemented typosquatting rules in 2007, a system where it is free to file a complaint. The rules has been a great success with more than 2000 cases solved within 3 years. In 2010 the rules has been refined in order to make it even harder to typosquat Danish domain names. At the moment we experience a decline in cases regarding typosquatting.

Rewriting the Domain Name Law in France - Mathieu Weill, .fr

Recently, the French Constitutional Council has issued a decision that declares the French legal framework on domain names unconstitutional. The presentation will describe the context and content of this decision, and its impact on the ccTLD manager.

A presentation about implementing OpenID based service, launch campaign for it and a summary of the experience after one month of operation.

As query rates continuously rise, DENIC proactively implemented and rolled a new DNS architecture for .de which, in addition may also be used by other (cc)TLDs. Design criteria, actually implemented structure, building blocks and results acheived will be presented.
