vTechDay at ICANN 77 (Washington, DC)
The ICANN Tech Working Group is again planning a technical workshop at the ICANN 77 meeting (Washington, DC)
As the meeting will be hybrid so will be vTechDay which is currently penciled in for Monday, 2023-06-12 for two blocks:
Blocks 1-2 13:00 UTC until 16:15 UTC, with one 30-minute break mandated by ICANN.
We shall try to accommodate the time zone of virtual presenters in setting the agenda.
The TechDay workshop has been a part of ICANN meetings since 2006 and has provided a forum for both experienced and new people to meet, present and discuss technical topics related to registry and DNS work and security.
We are especially interested in:
- DNSSEC, within the African (!) Region and with regards to SHA-1 Transition
- DNS Abuse Prevention and Mitigation Tools
- Best (security) management practices, lines of defense, to protect Registries from bad actors, attacks or malware, or even reports of failures
- In addition, we welcome suggestions for additional topics
