The Council of the country code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) approved the following ccTLD managers as newest ccNSO Members:
- ARCEP Benin, the ccTLD manager of .bj (Benin).
- Tele Greenland, the ccTLD manager of .gl (Greenland)
- ZICTA, the ccTLD manager of .zm (Zambia)
According to the ICANN Bylaws, ccNSO membership is limited to entities listed as ccTLD Manager in the IANA TLD Delegation record. As a consequence, Benin Telecom S.A. is no longer ccNSO member for .bj, and zamnet is no longer ccNSO member for .zm.
The ccNSO currently numbers 169 members. The ccNSO warmly welcomes the ccTLD managers for .gl, .zm and .bj to its membership and looks forward to a fruitful collaboration.
About the ccNSO:
The ccNSO is the policy development body for a narrow range of global issues regarding country-code top level domains (ccTLDs) within the ICANN structure. Membership in the ccNSO is open to all ccTLD managers responsible for managing an ISO 3166-1 country-code top-level domain. According to the ICANN Bylaws, ccNSO membership is limited to ccTLD Managers (originally Sponsoring Organisation), which are the entities listed as ccTLD Manager in the IANA TLD Delegation record.
