History: The .sn extension was registered in 1992 by University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar, with the technical cooperation of RIO Project initiated by ORSTOM. The full registration process in Senegal is managed by CURI-UCAD Services since 1997. The ccTLD .sn registry, NIC Senegal, is now open (June 2008) to all stakeholders within a national advisory comitee chaired by ARTP (Senegal regulatory body).
