History:
The "Hostmaster" LLC was founded in 2001 by group of system administrators which were maintaining different public domains in .UA domain. There were only second level regional public domains in .UA at the moment of foundation. The registrations of private second level domains were prohibited. There had been developed policy of a private second level domains delegation. According to the policy the private second level domains are delegated only to the owner of the appropriate TM. The policy with minor changes is still being used. From the very start the company works by registrant-registrar-registry scheme and do not make direct registrations. The IDN registration in com.ua and kiev.ua domains was opened in 2010. From 2011 the EPP protocol implementation was started and from 2012 the registry works only by EPP. Also the registry has web interface that allows to translate commands to the EPP interface. From 2016 the registry began to work with the foreign registrars. At the current moment we are implementing DNSSEC. Also the company have signed agreement with WIPO and in the nearest future the UDRP procedure will be available for the domain dispute resolution.
