The title of my short presentation will be “Cooperation with Law Enforcement Agencies in the Netherlands”.
It will give a “work in progress” overview of cooperation between SIDN and LEA’s with regard to extended access to WHOIS data and Notice & Take Down. I will also present a highlight on the Code of Conduct on Notice & Take Down that the ISP- and hosting sector in The Netherlands established end 2008

Attack & Contingency Response Planning / A practical case for a small ccTLD - Louis Diego Espinoza, .cr
Abstract:
The function of the ccTLD is a critical component of Internet, in consequence their processes are very sensitive and any failure can affect thousands of users or lost of money for their clients. Identify processes, hardware, software and people that makes this happens is very convenient. Define how each of this components interact with each other could be better, but typically this kind of assessment requires people with expertise in strategic planning or risk management. In a small ccTLD is hard to find people with this profile, then the effort of ICANN-LACTLD to bring the knowledge in planning, risk and contingence is very useful, because we can create an ad-hoc team to work on it. In this way we can achieve a simple but practical contingence and response planning, without requiring high-level expert staff.

Amongst the CCTLD in Latin America, there are a number of management models; some pertain to public offices, others are part of a public or private university and others are non governmental organisms. There is also a great diversity as far as registration policies are concerned, and which summed up with the economic and demographic differences, bring about different visions and commercial strategies. This presentation identifies tendencies and evaluates them in relation to their effects on growth and development of the local content in a sample of countries within the region (AL).
