Call for Volunteers: The ccNSO seeks members to the ccNSO Meetings Programme Committee (MPC)

The ccNSO seeks additional volunteers for the ccNSO Meetings Programme Committee (MPC). The MPC has been established to to coordinate and manage the high-level schedule of the ccNSO-related sessions, including the ccNSO Members Meeting agenda at ICANN public meetings, and related matters.  The call for volunteers will close on Friday, 28 January 2022 (23:59 UTC).

Potential MPC members and those want to learn more about the work of the MPC are kindly invited to a 1-hour webinar, hosted by ccNSO Meetings Programme Committee chair Barbara Povse (.si). The webinar will be held on Monday, 24 January 2022 at 13 UTC. You will be informed on how to join the Committee, the required skill set, the topics that will be addressed by this group, and its working methods

Who can become an MPC member?

Do you have a finger on the pulse? Are you interested in and aware of the latest things that are happening in the ccTLD world? Do you have experience with session selection and meeting organization? The MPC needs you!

Membership of the Committee is open to all ccTLD managers (whether members of the ccNSO or not) The membership will be listed on https://ccnso.icann.org/en/workinggroups/mpwg.htm

Term of service

As per its Charter, the term of the MPC membership is two (2) years. Committee members may be reappointed by the ccNSO Council, for a maximum of two (2) more subsequent terms [in total a maximum of three (3) terms in a row]. Each year the members of the Committee will be asked whether they want to continue to serve thereon. The group encourages participation from all geographic regions and by volunteering you commit to participate in and contribute to the bi-weekly MPC meetings and to the work in between those meetings.

Working method

The committee meets on a bi-weekly basis through Zoom and might decide to meet during the ICANN public meetings. The working language of the committee is English.

It also describes the rights you have regarding your information. Members shall be appointed by the ccNSO Council after closure of the call for volunteers.
