ccNSO Representative to the NomCom Sought

Date
26 August 2013

The ccNSO is now looking for a volunteer to serve on ICANN's Nominating Committee (NomCom) on behalf of the ccNSO. The Committee is tasked to select eight members of the ICANN Board and other key positions within the ICANN structure.

The volunteer should come from the ccTLD Community, but does not necessarily need to be a ccNSO member.

The NomCom is designed to function independently from the Board, the Supporting Organisations, and Advisory Committees. NomCom members act only on behalf of the interests of the global Internet community and within the scope of the ICANN mission and responsibilities assigned to it by the ICANN Bylaws.

This means that even if you are delegated on behalf of the ccNSO, you are not accountable to the ccNSO.

The NomCom works primarily through teleconferences and email, but also meet face-to-face during the ICANN meetings.

For more information, see http://nomcom.icann.org/

Should you be interested in this position, please, email ccnsosecretariat@icann.org by Friday, 6 September at the latest. Please, also add a brief note, motivating why you wish to serve on this position.
